The Museum, after an extensive search, contacted private collectors across the country and made special arrangements to recreate each badge. Pat Garrett's badge is the centerpiece and is 24 karat gold on sterling silver! Other badges belonged to Wyatt Earp, Jeremiah Johnson, Fred Lambert, and Dallas Stoudenmire.
The case is made of beautiful crafted hard wood and etched glass for wall display. Also included were letters from the Franklin Mint and Western Heritage Museum, a color booklet with pictures and info about the badges and the collection, and each badge had a informative commentary note. Smoke free and away from sunlight they are in near mint condition after 30 years. The case is also mint. I have all the paperwork and 10 of the 12 "descriptive literature" notes.
I actually will include the note sent to me by the Mint stating there was a delay in the preparation of the the literature and it was supposed to be mailed later, but I never received them. Now that I've retired and moved south, its time to let someone else enjoy them for many years. They truly are unique and beautiful, exact replications, even the back if the original badge had anything on it. Thanks for your interest and time viewing this item. It will be packed securely in order to ensure it arrives to you just as it was sent!
