1970s Franklin Mint Gold Sterling Silver William Shakespeare Medal Set Complete

  
This listing is for a complete William Shakespeare medal set put out by Franklin Mint in the early 1970's. There are 38 medals in the set and come in the original binder. On the front is says in small print "First Edition 24 Kt Gold on Sterling Proof Set". Minted for the personal collection of A. From what we have been able to find online these sets are fairly rare with less than 2200 made and each medal has an approximate weight of 1.25 toz for a combined total of 47.5 troy ounces.

The binder does have some wear and most of the coins do have some spots of tarnish. Please see the photos for details.
