This is a First Edition Proof Set of The Official Duck Stamps of America by Franklin Mint. These are 24 kt gold electroplate on sterling silver. There are 50 stamps in this collection. There is a certificate of authenticity from 1983 taped inside the lid of the case. I did not attempt to remove the certificate. The satin in the lid is discolored from age. The outside of the case is brown velvet and the stamps are nestled in green velvet. There are water spots and indentations on the outside velvet. The spring hinges work well and keep the case tightly closed or opened as desired. The velvet clings to any lint or hairs; I have tried to remove what I can, but there may be a few stray pet hairs that I miss. There is some minimal tarnishing on a few.
