Franklin Mint Family Bible, issued in 1975. Bible still in original sealed unopened case. Original outer mailing box opened. This family Bible is bound in a sculptured sterling silver cover containing more than one troy pound of sterling silver. The back cover, spine, and hinges of the binding are also of sterling silver.

The cover is an original work of art by Oriol Sunyer, of Barcelona, Spain. The illuminations are from the 14th century Queen Mary's Psalter.

This is the first time these 40 illustrations have appeared in any printed Bible. This Bible has a special section for the family genealogy, and for the records of future generations.

It is individually inscribed, by a master calligrapher, with the owner's family name. Contains over 1250 pages, including the texts of the Old and New Testaments, plus appendices.

My Father bought this for me. The first six pictures are of the actual item showing the sealed case and documentation.
