CIRCA 1973, " Genius of Rembrandt" Sterling silver proof medal from Franklin Mint series immortalizes Rembrandt's introspective"Self-Portrait" (1659, Kenwood House version), capturing the artist's furrowed brow and piercing gaze in dramatic sculptural relief on the obverse, with masterful shading evoking his chiaroscuro technique. The reverse features descriptive text and a facsimile signature, highlighting the painting's beautiful emotional depth. 50mm (2) diameter and 66g, it's encased in a protective sleeve with an original booklet page providing historical context. High-res image-excellent condition with light toning. The packaging might photograph as if the coin itself has imperfections, but the coin is mint.

It is part of "The Genius of Rembrandt"collection, a set of 50 sterling silver medallions, each depicting one ofRembrandt's famous works of art. The medal is struck in sterling silver.
