Hello and thanks for looking, up for sale is an 8-coin Sterling Silver Art Medal set called AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL. This set was produced by the Franklin Mint in 1976 and was i. Nspired by a single line from the stanza of'America the Beautiful. These coins are in perfect condition and remain housed in the original custom made Display Case. Each coin weighs a minumum of 1000 Grains of Sterling Silver and the total Sterling Silver Weight is 527.3 Grams.

Each of the eight coins measures 51mm in diameter and has a dual finish. This was a new medallic form combining the proof finish, consisting of a finely frosted design and a mirror-like background, with the Antique finish surrounding it.

The Antique/Proof medal was created especially for this collection, the first of its kind ever minted anywhere in the world. Each medal has matching serial numbers and is hallmarked on the edge.
