Eleven badges are solid sterling silver, each marked "1987 STERLING SILVER" on the reverse. The twelfth - the Lincoln County Sheriff star at center - is 24k gold electroplate over sterling. As issued by Franklin Mint, the badges have no pin backs; they seat into custom-cut recesses in brown velvet.

Glass intact, no chips or cracks. Velvet clean with no fading.
