Franklin Mint Faberge Egg, The Star of the North, Sterling Silver Gold Diamonds

The egg is made of solid sterling silver overlaid with blue guilloche enamel work and and accented with 24k gold electroplate. It is studded with 8 diamonds and 20 sapphires. The base is also made of solid sterling silver coated with 24k gold and includes 8 hand-set sapphires. The feet on the base feature lapis lazuli cabochons (please note that one is missing - see last photo). The interior contains a removable pin made of solid 14k yellow and white gold featuring 1 sapphire and 18 diamonds.
