This is a set of Bicentennial Medals issued by the Franklin Mint in 1975 as a special tribute to the bicentennial of the United States of America. This is a limited edition set.
They are both 2000 grains proof medals, one of sterling silver and the other bronze. If I figured correctly, it is 3.8541 asw. They each measure approximately 63mm in diameter. The obverse of each medal depicts 30 famous Americans and the reverse has the beginning of the Preamble to the Constitution. It is in original Franklin Mint packaging with the Certificate of Authenticity. It also has the leaflet describing the medals and on the back it has the names of the 30 Americans depicted on the medals and also where they are on the medal. The top of the case is nice but as you can see from the picture, the bottom obviously had something stuck on it. The medals are nice and not toned.
