1987 Franklin Mint Unicorn Pendant Necklace

  

Vintage 1987 Franklin Mint Sterling Silver & Gold Vermeil Goebel Unicorn Pendant Necklace.. Olszewski / David Cornell This is a rare sterling-vermeil Unicorn Heart Pendant with a one-point fully faceted diamond. It was designed exclusively for the Franklin Mint in the Goebel Miniatures studio under the direction of Olszewski in 1986. The pendant measures approximately 1" x 1" and the chain is 17.

Both the heart and the chain are sterling-vermeil. 925 Sterling Silver plated with 22K Gold. 925 sterling plated in gold and hand painted and is mounted in front of a field of blue with tiny gold stars. The unicorn is a miniature version of David Cornell's The Messenger Of Love.

The heart pendant, field of blue and diamond setting were designed by Olszewski. The back is stamped THE FRANKLIN MINT D.

The chain is marked "STERLING". All is in very good to excellent vintage pre-owned condition (see photos).
