Franklin Mint History of The United States Sterling Silver 200 Mini-Coin Set. Very rare, limited edition series, minted in 1976. Complete set of 200 Solid Sterling Silver mini coins, commemorating key U. The coins are year by year, from the independence of the United States in 1776 for a period of two hundred years. Each coin depicts the "event of the year" on the front with a caption on the reverse side. All 200 coins were minted in solid sterling sliver and issued in limited edition by The Franklin Mint (1976). Each coin weighs 1.7 grams. 17" x 10" x 2.5.

Unfortunately either this must have gone missing over the years. He took great care of it over the years in a smoke-free home. Includes a small magnifying glass from the same era that my father used to use to view the coins. All 200 coins are in their original, shiny condition. No cleaning or solvents have been applied.
